Welcome to Nourish Not Diet!

I help people with eating disorders / negative behaviours around food, whether that be feeling out of control with the way they eat, or are fed up with dieting prison and the shame associated with trying to lose weight.

I also work with people who have diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, heart disease, Irritable bowel syndrome and other gastro-intestinal disorders to discover what foods work best for them, reduce symptoms and enjoy life more.

I don't focus on weight loss or dieting - I help you rediscover and fall in love with the foods that make you feel good, are enjoyable, nourishing, and along the way, improve your relationship with food and your body.

How? As your ally, I will teach you to reconnect with your hunger/fullness cues, how to recognise and challenge your dieting thoughts and inner critic and what 'normal eating' actually looks like. I will coach you to stand up against the messages that support weight stigma and fat phobia and most importantly, how improving your level of self compassion will lead to better self care.

My approach is based on the Health at Every Size* Philosophy.
Evidence says you can improve your health and well being without a focus on body weight and buying into the diet paradigm. Every individual has a unique body, shape and size that deserves to be embraced! * Registered TM

Why as a dietitian I won't intentionally offer weight loss advice

Health at Every Size, or HAES, is a framework for health, wellness and medical care that considers all bodies to be worthy of dignified and respectful care as they exist right now.

Bloating, wind, burping, flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and increasing sensitivities to foods (despite already removing 'trigger' foods) are symptoms I hear ALL the time relating to bowels.

Simone is amazing at explaining gut health, what is it, what are pre and probiotics, how to know if your gut is performing optimally, and what simple changes you can make to improve your gut health.
