Is your IBS diagnosis incorrect??

Bloating, wind, burping, flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and increasing sensitivities to foods (despite already removing 'trigger' foods) are symptoms I hear ALL the time relating to bowels.

Frustration, anxiety, financial burden, depression, reduced quality of life, time lost from work or activities result from the above physical symptoms, despite endless appointments with your doctor, gastroenterologist or other specialist to try and figure out why your body isn't quite right.

You may have already had extensive testing and procedures from your GP and Gastroenterologist.  You may have had breath testing for lactose/ fructose malabsorption. Maybe your breath tests came back positive and you have already made changes, yet only feel marginally better.
.
The answer could be SIBO.

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth may explain the IBS symptoms experienced in around 60% of IBS sufferers. It may also be the reason for your fructose or lactose malabsorption.

New consensus guidelines were put out in 2017, however many breath testing labs have not updated their reporting to reflect these guidelines.

So, if you are experiencing frustrating IBS symptoms, it would be worth chatting with a SIBO savvy practitioner like myself.
